In 2011, Lloyd opened his own Design firm based in Shreveport, LA. He is currently working on municipal projects, such as the City of Shreveport’s Stoner Dog Park, institutional projects, such as a renovation and addition to Southfield School and South Highlands Elementary Magnet, commercial projects such as the Oasis Headquarters, along with many residential projects in Shreveport, Bossier, and Minden, Louisiana, and Jackson, Mississippi.
Lloyd is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and holds professional licensure from the state of Louisiana. Lloyd and his family are happy to be back in their hometown of Shreveport and to be creating memorable spaces that function for his clients.
Design is the marriage of form and function and Lloyd's philosophy is to make the landscape a functional “piece of art” for his clients. Lloyd listens and gets to know the needs and desires of the client, creating a unique space that is respectful to the topography of the site and complements the style of the existing architecture. His own design aesthetic is a restrained sophistication, rooted in traditional, southern style and inspired by international travel and the clean lines of modern art.
